2025: A New Chapter of Growth, Hope, and Reflection
Dear 2025,
As I sit here, two days away from stepping into a new year, I find myself reflecting on everything 2024 brought into my life. It feels like closing a cherished book—a story filled with moments of growth, laughter, and bittersweet goodbyes. My bachelor's exams ended just three days ago, marking the end of an important chapter. It feels surreal. The routine I've lived by, the faces I’ve seen every day, the conversations, the shared laughter—all of it is now a part of my past. While I’m deeply grateful for the memories and the friendships I've made, there's an ache in my heart knowing that our paths might diverge. We’ll all get busy, swept up in our own lives, and I fear we might forget each other. But even so, I hold onto hope that the bonds we’ve built will withstand time and distance.
Looking ahead, 2025 feels like an open canvas—blank, waiting for me to add color, meaning, and purpose. I hope this year will be one of growth, not just professionally but also personally. I want to become someone I’m proud of, someone who stands on her own two feet. But above all, I want to remain hopeful. I know there will be days when things feel heavy, when progress feels slow, and when the path forward seems unclear. But even in those moments, I hope I’ll find the strength to keep going.
One of the most valuable things I’m carrying forward from 2024 is the different perspectives I’ve gained from people around me. I’ve learned patience from moments of frustration, honesty from moments of vulnerability, and courage from moments of fear. I’ve learned that love doesn’t always come in grand gestures; sometimes it’s in the smallest of actions. And perhaps most importantly, I’ve learned not to be self-centered—to see beyond my own struggles and recognize the silent battles others are fighting.
To anyone reading this, I want you to know that your journey matters. Whether 2024 was kind to you or left you with scars, the year ahead holds new opportunities to heal, grow, and discover yourself. No year is ever perfect, but each one brings its own lessons and its own moments of beauty. I hope this space, this blog, feels like a warm corner of comfort—somewhere you can pause, reflect, and feel seen.
There’s a song that’s been on my mind as I write this—‘Winter Bear’ by V of BTS. The lyrics go:
"There's a winter ahead, if it's cold and wet We're always warm here side by side. I'll be with you until the spring runs by And the summer starts to burn And I'll be with you when autumn returns Yes, when all the seasons turn."
As we step into 2025, let’s remind ourselves of these words. Seasons will change, challenges will come, and moments of doubt will visit us—but we will be okay. We’ll stand side by side with the people who matter, and we’ll hold onto hope.
So here’s to a new year—one filled with growth, love, and quiet moments of joy. Let’s write this chapter with courage and intention.
With love and hope,
Mirrah
